gpicview-dbg software package provides lightweight image viewer (debug), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gpicview-dbg
gpicview-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gpicview-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gpicview-dbg *
You will get with gpicview-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
